Biography
Michael's passion and calling is to be used by God to equip, encourage, exhort, and edify the people of God. Through an entorage of communication methods, he has taken his gift of communication, added dash of life experience, a pinch of humor & drama, and drop of his pioneer ministry training, and put them together into some powerful messages addressing God's people.  God has put on his heart an unquenchable desire to instill passion in the church, inspire men to tranform their walk with Christ, rescue marriages on the brink of divorce, and to ignite a movement of prayer & evangelism in the marketplace and our world! 

I was born and raised in Southern Pennsylvania. I married the most incredible woman on the planet, Dana, in 1997 and we have 3 children.  Since 1999, Dana and I have served in full-time ministry.  We began our journey as overseas missionaries in China. I have also taken short-term trips to South Africa, Haiti, and Moldova.  My wife and I planted a church that began from an evangelistic work our church conducted in a low income community.  I have coordinated many street evangelism festivals using block parties, puppets, Gospel illusions, sports evangelism etc. I have extensive speaking experience in churches, conferences, and special events including evangelistic speaking, youth, church events, conferences, and married couples. I am the author of Prayer & Evangelism curriculum and am currently working on a book for men and women.  Currently along with my traveling to speak, encourage, equip, and train churches and Christians I also own a manufacturing company.

Unfortunately my entire story is not spotless.  In the midst of the ministry experience above I made destructive decisions that lead to serious consequences I had to face.  It was through these years of humiliation and failure that I truly learned the value of love, forgiveness, redemption and restoration.  Along with speaking generally to any group, God has given me a new passion and courage to speak truth and hope into the lives of men.    

God has also given my wife and I a unique ministry helping couples who have all but given up or who have no idea how to make their marriages thrive!  We specialize in marriage intervention for those moments away from divorce.

In any speaking engagement, whether to preach the Gospel to unbelievers, revive believers, train leadership teams, or simply encourage people, my ultimate focus is to leave knowing that gospel was preached, Christ was exalted, God's Word was proclaimed, truth was spoken, and people's lives have been changed.

Recalculating - A message about God’s plan after sin and failure, redemption, and second chances. Many of us have thrown out the map books and embraced the Global Positioning Systems for our traveling assistance. However, the GPS system that I speak of stands not for satellites in outer space, but for God’s Plan after Sin. Much like the GPS units in our cars (which gently guide us back to the original path we wondered from by “recalculating”) God’s GPS system, the Bible, gently guides us back when we stray from His path through sin and failures. Let’s face it, we all fail. We all blow it. We all miss the mark. What we all don’t do is get up and “recalculate”. Satan’s ultimate goal is not just to get us to fall, but to keep us from getting back up again. We have fallen victim to the belief that certain “sins” disqualify us from being worthy of service to God or even useful to God. The truth cannot be more opposite. If God used David after adultery and murder, why can’t God use a repentant adulterer or murderer today? Don’t get me wrong I know there are Biblical guidelines that can disqualify people from the office of Pastor, Elder, and Deacon, however the last time I checked those were not the only ways in which one can be used by God. In this message I dispel the myths and expose the lies that Christians have too long believed that once people fail there is no second chance, no opportunity for redemption, no possibility that God could ever use them again, and no place for them in God’s army. I also speak hope and life into men who have failed and bought into these lies thus have already thrown in the towel. This message contains tangible steps to help men transition from devastating failures towards dedicated Christian service. The message also helps men understand that their life is not defined by their sins and mistakes, but by the fact that they are forgiven, righteous, sons of a King!

Real Men Wear Pink - A message relating to self worth, defining manhood, and connecting with other men. Men are constantly being bombarded with the lie that they must conform to the life of masculinity, macho-ism, and mighty muscle binding hardness. To divulge from that mindset and embrace any form of tenderness, gentleness, or weakness, is often faced with harsh criticism, and sometimes even condemnation or shame. We as men are taught that any thought of closeness (or heaven forbid the dirty word “intimacy”) with each other is feminine, weak, and down right creepy. Many men are afraid to hug one another, put an arm around a fallen brother, cry, breakdown, admit failure, or show any signs of fear. The Bible paints a completely different picture. John rested his head on Jesus’ bosom, David cried when his child died, Peter wept bitterly when he betrayed Christ, Jesus himself wept when Lazarus died, and the disciples deserted Jesus, out of fear, in the garden before His crucifixion. The idea that men are thick skinned cowboys who never scrape their knees is nothing but garbage. This ideology has led men away from each other, away from our wives, and has put up a false sense of self thus leading to the demise of men, husbands, and fathers. I am convinced, if King David were alive today, he would have absolutely no problem wearing a pink shirt to church, I know I don’t! In this message I examine the Bible’s view of men as it relates to the balance of masculinity and intimacy with each other, and how vulnerability in our relationships can foster spiritual growth like never before. Fathers are disappearing, real men are vanishing, and the moral decline of our culture is a direct reflection of that. This message will ignite a passion in men to open up their hearts, minds, thoughts, and emotions to each other, their wives, and their children, and the results…well, I’ll let you see them for yourself!

Just Keep Swimming - A message about hope, perseverance, and personal victory. Isn’t life tough? I mean wouldn’t it be much easier if we could just throw up our arms in exhaustion and say “enough” I am done. I know in my own life I have been tempted to do so on a daily basis. Look at Ecclesiastes, life is futile. Look at the prophets, no one listened. Look at Jesus, they crucified Him. What’s the point? Why does it always seem like the bad guys win? Why do we try and try and try and when we wake up the next morning not one thing is different? Will life ever get any easier then this? Will it always be this way? Discouragement is one of the leading causes of failure. Discouragement paves the road to giving up and giving up is the foundation of failure. Is there really a light at the end of the tunnel? In this message I shed light from God’s word on the discouraging darkness that seems to permeate our lives. I offer different perspectives on life to fuel a renewed passion to “press on toward the prize” as Paul so passionately put it! Never quit, never give up, never lose heart. You will never posses that which you are unwilling to pursue. This message is designed to dispel despair, destroy depression, and help men determine their destiny. In this message I examine men in the Bible who defied the odds, stuck it out when the deck was stacked against them, and how the example of these men can motivate and encourage us to “stay the course” in the difficult times of our lives.

It's trash night - A message leading men, struggling with secret sin, to brokenness, confession, and repentance. Look at the facts. Over 50% of marriages end in divorce, 7 out of 10 men in church struggle with pornography, affairs are rampant, and addictions are more common place than ever. The point? Simple, if you are a man it is highly likely that you now have (or once have had) garbage in your life. This garbage eats away at the fabric of your life and once spread too thin, your life will completely unravel. The solution? Have a designated time to take out the garbage. This particular message is designed for a men’s ministry that wants to give their men an opportunity to safely take out the garbage in their lives. Garbage that may very well be secretly holding them in bondage, set-up to completely destroy their lives, or holding them back from living an authentic Christian life. Men attending an event with this message will be given a tangible and safe avenue to confess secret sin to the Lord, and if they so desire, to another man. They will be given an opportunity to confidentially seek guidance and prayer for help in any area of sin that they want to break free from.
