Biography
Dr. Patrick Mead was born and raised in Dallas, Texas.  For the first twenty-
one years of his life he lived apart from Christ.  At the age of twenty-one he
surrendered his life to Christ and he was never the same.  Soon after his
conversion the Lord called Dr. Mead to ministry.  

In preparation for this calling he attended The Criswell College where he
received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Biblical Studies and a Master of Arts in
Ministry.  While at Criswell Dr. Mead was the recipient of the Paige
Patterson Preaching Award and The Presidential Academic Scholarship from
Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

He has also earned degrees from Louisiana Baptist Theological Seminary,
and has done pre-doctoral study at Southwestern Baptist Theological
Seminary as well as doctrinal work at Liberty Theological Seminary in
Lynchburg, Virginia.  Dr. Mead is the Senior Pastor of Fairview Baptist
Church in Sherman, Texas

While working on his undergraduate Dr. Mead fell in love with a young lady
who also attended Criswell, Christy Brashear.  They were happily married in
1995.  Christy Mead is a great asset to Dr. Mead’s ministry. She earned a
Bachelor of Arts in Counseling from Criswell.  She leads the Women’s
Ministry of First Purcell and helps her husband with counseling couples and
ladies, as well as homeschooling their  three beautiful daughters, Abigail (8),
Maribeth (7), and Caroline Grace (3).   Her hobby is raising and showing
