Biography
Marilyn Williams is a testament to God’s love, power, and promises…a living example of being healed and transformed from the inside out. She has overcome the scars of childhood sexual, physical, and emotional abuse; the repercussions of a long-term eating disorder; a mental breakdown at the age of 24; and a past diagnosis of Multiple Personality Disorder. With Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, Marilyn now walks with peace and purpose according to God’s Living Word.
At her side throughout her journey has been her husband, Mike. They reside in Oceanside, California where they have raised their two children and now co-direct Safe Harbor Ministries, an outreach ministry delivering the hands, feet, and heart of Jesus Christ to people in need.
With God’s calling clear in her life, Marilyn devotes herself to fulltime ministry, seeking to serve others with God’s truth and encouragement through small group Bible studies, one-on-one mentoring, and speaking at conferences, retreats, and special events around the world. In fact, Marilyn has had the privilege of speaking, teaching, and ministering to women of Armenia, Ivory Coast Africa, Japan, Korea and even the underground church in Iran.
Marilyn enjoys studying God’s Word and communicating its timeless truth through sound and applicable messages for today’s woman. She has developed “You Go, Girl!” time management and accountability groups, where women are lovingly supported and practically equipped “To get done what God is calling us to do.” Marilyn has also formed S.H.O.P. (Sharing Hearts of Prayer), which are small, intimate groups of women who pray God’s Word for their husbands, families, communities, nation, and world.
From small groups to large, Marilyn has a way of reaching right to the heart and showing women that, no matter their past, present pain or life circumstance, and Christ’s love is able to overcome and infuse them with a joy and peace that truly surpasses all understanding. Her natural gift for speaking, coupled with her grounding in the Word, her Godly wisdom, and the beauty that oozes out of her as she describes the power of God to truly heal wounds and put broken things back together again, will touch everyone who hears her.
